Personal Statement/Bio:
I have played the violin virtually all my life and have a deep and abiding love for the instrument and for playing in various ensembles. That love developed despite a traditional music education that initially engendered fear of the instrument and made practicing a difficult experience. Then, I discovered the Suzuki method and now use that method to make practicing and accomplishment a pleasure for my students.
Education/Training:
Certified to teach Suzuki violin Books 1-4. Qualified for addtional certification through Book 10. Training at the Memphis and Chicago Suzuki Institutes and with Master Suzuki teacher trainer.
Teaching Philosophy:
I am committed toteaching using the nurturing and highly effective Suzuki method. Based upon a systematic, building-block approach to teaching, the Suzuki method has proven to be the most effective and widely-used violin method in the world. The goal is to make playing fun and to make playing the instrument a natural extension of the student's love of sound and music.

St. Louis Philharmonic Orchestra; Gannon String Quartet; Assorted chamber music ensembles
Cancellation Policy:
Fees charged per 8 week sessions. Re-scheduling within 48 hours of lesson. Refunds at discretion of teacher.
