Personal Statement/Bio:

Maria Wilson a premier solo guitarist in Pennsylvania has been teaching and performing for over 20 years.She has performed her instrumental guitar show all over east coast performing at venues such as the Belmont Stakes,the Atlantic City Beachfestival,The Borders Bookstore Tour,and hundreds of other fesivals,outdoor concerts,colleges and special events.She has openend up for Roger McGuinn,Livingston Taylor,Dar Williams and Michael McDonald.Maria alos composes guitar music for RDSD Publishing for film projects.

Education/Training:

Maria has studied with some of the best,guitarist,bassists and drummer in the country including Michael Manring[bass]David Cullen[Windham Hill] and Marcia Englar[Peabody Conservatory]

She was the winner of the 2002,2003,2005,and 2010 Guitar Scholarships fro Duquesne University Guitar and Bass School,Pittsburgh PA.Maria is also a graduate of Harrisburg Area Community College with an A.A. in Music Industry/Music Marketing.

Teaching Philosophy:

For over 20 years Maria has provided students with music instruction tailored for the students specific interests and the music they want to learn.

Music Programs:

On the weekends,Maria tours with her intense guitar show and The Guitar-Violin Project.She also fills in for a variety of bands playing percussion in Central Pa.

Cancellation Policy:

Students are to give a 24 hour notice if they need to cancel there lesson .Make-up lessons will be given upon the instructors discretion.
