Personal Statement/Bio:

* Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and have been teaching music for more than 25 years.
* Studied classical piano for many years, following the curriculum of the Royal Conservatory of Music and completing a comprehensive and thorough music education that stressed music theory, technique and artistry.
* Many years' experience teaching kindergarten and elementary school music and private music and piano lessons,
* In addition to being the piano accompanist for Synagogue choirs, I also directed Sweet Adelines women's barbershop choruses throughout New England and in South Florida, sharing the joy and the wonder of music with young and old.

Teaching Philosophy:

* Teaching the elements of music and piano is my passion!
* My students develop an understanding of and respect for the classical music art form.
* My classes incorporate a study of music history, an exposure to a wide variety of music forms and genres and an appreciation of the "why"s and "how"s of playing the piano.
* My teaching philosophy is based on the traditional values and methods of teaching children. It is my firm belief that a child learns faster and easier if his/her exposure to music is geared specifically to his/her individual ability, interest and understanding.
* The students enjoy exploring the lives and times of those great composers whose legacies live on through today's students.
* And . . . above and beyond the basics . . . we have a good time and have fun learning to
