A series of new design changes and features recently added to the NAMTA website will benefit members, as well as students and parents seeking quality music education.
As mentioned in a previous blog, a list of links to major cities makes it easier for students nationwide to zoom in on their communities to locate qualified music teachers. The NAMTA city pages section now has a button that enables students and parents to search according to their community’s zip code.
List of New Features:
- Members can add videos to their web pages
- Members’ photos can enhance the entire web page, including the overview section
- Facebook “like” button added to each member web page
- Zip Code Search Button on major city pages helps students find you
- Detailed student contact form for effective communication
- Redesign of member dashboard
But the big news is that NAMTA members can now easily post videos and additional photos on their NAMTA web pages. The new video feature can be used as a promotional feature, showing video images of music lessons or recitals, or live performances by bands or professional musicians. The video feature could also be used as references for enrolled students, perhaps showing tutorials on how to play a specific piece of music. Either way, the new video feature adds a dynamic new element to the NAMTA online community.
Students reviewing NAMTA member web pages will also notice that the layout of the member profile pages has been totally redesigned. The new design allows the page to showcase more photos, as well as being more balanced and pleasing to the eye. A new student contact form has been added to each member’s profile page to make it easier for students and teachers to communicate about starting music lessons.
NAMTA members will also notice that their Dashboard has been redesigned to make it faster and easier for members to navigate the site. These new features and design changes are now up and running. Be sure to use them to promote your music lesson programs.
