Personal Statement/Bio:

Voice and Piano teacher Alex Varden was born in Latvia, USSR. His musical talent was honed throughout performances in USSR, Europe, Canada, Australia, and USA. His musical training spans 16 years that culminated in a Master of Arts in musical directing, teaching voice and piano. In 1982 Alex came to to USA and started to teach at the High-school for Performing Arts, and later at the Cal State University of LA. Now prof. Varden works at his home in West Hollywood. He writes and arranges music, and maintains a select list of privately tutored students, including Miss Universe, 2 Star Search winners, and numerous Pop, R&B, Broadway, Rock singers, performers and song-writers.

Education/Training:

Alex Varden received his Master of Arts in Music from State Music Academy of Latvia (USSR). He has decades of professional performing experience (in Europe and USA) as well as more than 20 years of teaching voice and music, including Los Angeles High-School for Performing Arts, and  Cal State University of Los Angeles.

He has literally helped hundreds of aspired singers, pianists and song writers to find their unique talents and enrich their lives with a greater love for music.
