~Born in San Diego (July 22, 1977)

~Elementary School Grades K-5.
~Marston Middle School Grades 6-8.88-91
~Madison High School Grades 9-12.91-95 (Received High School Diploma).

~Attended Mesa College: 1996-2000.
~Transfered to San Diego State (SDSU) 2001-2005. (Received a bachlors degree).
~Attended Graduate School at (SDSU). (Received a Masters Degree).

~Played piano since age 4.

~I have piano lessons from three great piano teachers including Margret Balla,Donna Dawson and Lisa Zdecklik.

~Performed many piano recitals from age 9.

~Performed a piano recital for my bachlors degree in April 2005.
~Performed a Piano-lecture recital for my Masters degree in April 2009.

Education/Training:

~Attended Graduate Music School and focused on Piano Pedagogy. In April of 2009, I performed a piano-lecture recital on selected nocturnes of John Field and Frederic Chopin. I have received a Masters Degree.

~ I attended San Diego State as an undergrade with a focus study on music education. I took piano piece by Albaniz titled orientale and arranged it for orchestra. I performed a piano recital program in April of 2005.I received a Bachlors degree in May of 2005.

~I attended Mesa College from 1996-2000 and took various classes along with music classes. I was in the applied music program (AMP)
~I gained the basic knowledge in Music Theory/Ear Training and writing music for piano.

Teaching Philosophy:

~ I have accomplished skills in music theory/ear-training and I use those skills to teach the basic fundamentals and principles in order to enhance student's ability to learn how to read music and understand its functions on the piano.

~ My goal is for each student to come away with a sense of self-confidence and accomplishment on playing the piano and discover its characteristics in order for the student/parent to determine that the piano is not only a beautiful instrument to play but is the culmination of music.

Music Programs:

Piano Ensembles: many semesters from 2001-2008.

Concert Bands at SDSU: Played mostly percussion 2004-2008.

Jazz Combos at San Diego State: 2003-2007. Played drumset.

Jazz Band and combo at Mesa College 1997-2000. Played Piano.

Madison High School drumline/Marching Band. (1991-1995).

Madison High School drumline solos competition at Drums Across California (DAC). Won 1st place medals playing snare and drumset.

Played in High School honor band during my senior year playing percussion and performed at Copley Hall.

Participated in the Piano Sonatina festival at age 10. (1987-1991). Received an honorable mention and made finalist in 1991.

Cancellation Policy:

Students who wish to cancel a lesson must do so at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so may result the student being charged for the lesson. Exceptions to this policy are emergency i.e Illness or a death in the family.

Promotions:

One FREE introductory lesson for first time beginning piano students only.
