Personal Statement/Bio:

I was raised in a musical family and began taking piano lessons from age 7 then began voice lessons in middle school through college.

I have always pursued a career in music and grew up performing in many venues.

In middle and high school I began going to music competitions and always received I ratings as a vocal soloist even to the honors of getting Most Outstanding Vocal Soloist at the State and Tri-State levels of competition my Senior Year.

After getting my Bachelor of Music degree I taught in the OKC public schools for 15 years as well as teaching private voice and piano.

I also taught private voice and piano in Ouray, CO for 12 years (off and on).

I taught private voice lessons in Motrose, CO for 4 years.

Education/Training:

Voice and piano lessons 10 years from Mrs. Jan Pokorny, Mrs. Nita Kidd and Mrs. R.S. Hefner in Elementary through High School years.
4 years piano under Mrs. Linda Owen of Oklahoma City University.

Professional voice training under Florence Birdwell at Oklahoma City University for 4 years as a Voice Major. Mrs. Birdwell also trained Broadway stage and screen veterans Kristin Chenoweth, Kelli O'Hara, Lara Teeter (all Tony nominated actors), Stacey Logan, Jerry Steichen, and Miss America, Susan Powell.

Teaching Philosophy:

Diagnostic approach to getting rid of bad habits and "crutches" that have held a student's progress back.

Muscle Memory Technique with some Bel Canto Techniques added as described on my website www.stagesstudio.com

Strengthening and defining a singer's source of strength for singing more powerfully and with expression.

Cancellation Policy:

Anyone cancelling their Primo or Profondo contract will be given a
pro-rated re-imbursement, minus a $100 penalty.

No re-imbursements are given for Patron members who cancel sessions.

If it is Mrs. Crosby's fault that she needs to cancel a session, she will reschedule with the student to meet at the earliest possible convenience.

No re-imbursements and no make-up times are given if a student has to miss a session.
